How to activate SBI debit card for online transactions
To activate your SBI debit card for online transactions, you need to follow these steps:
- Visit the SBI website and log in to your account using your username and password.
- Click on the “e-Services” tab and then select “ATM Card Services”.
- Click on the “ATM Card Limit/Channel/Usage Change” option.
- Select your account and the card you want to activate for online transactions.
- Set the channel type to “Internet” and the transaction type to “E-commerce”.
- Set the limit of your choice for the transaction and click on the “Submit” button.
- Enter the OTP (One-Time Password) received on your registered mobile number.
- Your card will now be activated for online transactions.
Here are some more ways to activate your SBI debit card for online transactions:
- Through SBI Anywhere Personal app: You can activate your SBI debit card for online transactions through the SBI Anywhere Personal app. Log in to the app and select “Services” from the menu. Click on “Debit Card Services” and then select “Set Card Limits”. Select the card you want to activate and set the transaction limit for online transactions.
- Through SMS: You can activate your SBI debit card for online transactions by sending an SMS from your registered mobile number. Send an SMS in the following format to 567676: SWON <last four digits of your card number> <transaction limit>. For example, if your card number is 1234 5678 9012 3456 and you want to set the transaction limit to Rs. 10,000, send the SMS as: SWON 3456 10000.
- Through ATM: You can activate your SBI debit card for online transactions by visiting any SBI ATM. Insert your card and enter your PIN. Select “Services” from the menu and then select “ATM Card Services”. Select “Set Card Limit” and then select “E-commerce”. Set the transaction limit and confirm the transaction. Your card will be activated for online transactions.
